Preall Laboratory / CSHL Single Cell Biology Shared Resource

The Preall Laboratory shares space and equipment with the laboratory of Dick McCombie and the Next Generation Sequencing Shared Resource at the CSHL Woodbury Genome Center. The Preall Laboratory owns or shares access to all necessary common laboratory equipment such as microcentrifuges, gel running equipment, multi-channel pipettes, incubators, tissue culture hoods, fume hoods, microscopes, freezers and cryostorage.

Single Cell/Nucleus Sequencing:

The following equipment is critical to standard operations in the Single Cell Biology Shared Resource running single cell/nucleus RNAseq, nuc ATACseq, multiomics, and other bespoke genomics assays:

10X Genomics Chromium X

10X Genomics Chromium Controller

Sony SH800 flow cytometer and cell sorter

Countess II FL automated fluorescent cell counter

EVOS FL Fluorescence Microscope

Spatial Biology:

The proposed spatial transcriptomics experiments will make heavy use of the following equipment located at the Woodbury Genome Center:

10X Genomics Visium CytAssist

10X Genomics Xenium In Situ Analyzer

CSHL Next Generation Sequencing Shared Resource Equipment:

The following instrumentation is available at the Woodbury Genome Center with shared access by the Preall and McCombie laboratories.  This includes all necessary equipment for standard NGS library prep, QC, and sequencing of libraries proposed for this Atlas:

Tissue culture hoods and incubators

Refrigerated swinging bucket centrifuges (several)

MJ Research / Biorad tetrad thermal cyclers (6)

Qubit fluorimeter

BioRad Gel Doc EZ Gel Imager

Applied Biosystems 7900HT Fast Real Time PCR system
